Inhaltsangabe

For all Christian communicators: Are you cultivating healthy and life-giving words and expression?

Using garden metaphors and narrative storytelling, Catherine Lawton explores answers to this question and more. The author herself is a seasoned writer and publisher—and an avid gardener. This book will inspire both beginners and professionals. Lawton encourages and instructs communicators to cultivate their minds and hearts in such a way that their writing and speaking will engage the world we live in with authenticity, faithfulness, and fruitfulness.

The chapters include:

  1. SOAK. A writer’s output depends on what they soak in for under-the-surface viability.
  2. SPOKE. The Master Gardener speaks life-giving words. Do we?
  3. EVOKE. How to experiment, listen, learn, and communicate with postmodern readers.
  4. PROVOKE. Gardening and writing are forward thinking for renewed health, faith, and action.
  5. STOKE. How to stoke “fires” of awareness by taking your “produce” to market.

In addition, the Appendices offer practical, useful tips for:

  1. Publishing Models
  2. The Publishing Process
  3. Marketing for Introverts

Readers of Write and Publish Organically will be inspired to plunge their creative hands into healthy, ever-renewing “soil” for a productive, fruitful life as a Christian communicator, whether writing, publishing, or speaking.
