Inhaltsangabe

Have you ever woken up feeling grumpy... and decided to stay that way?

Gloria has.

Some mornings, she wakes up with a case of the grumps. Luckily, she has just the thing for days like that: her favorite blanket, affectionately known as her Grumpy Grump.

She can take it off whenever she wants.

She just... doesn't want to.

Today Gloria wraps herself up in her Grumpy Grump and takes that mood everywhere she goes. Breakfast is too milky, too pancakey, and too bacony. Nothing Mom suggests sounds fun. In fact, the more Mom tries to cheer Gloria up, the tighter Gloria holds onto her Grumpy Grump.

But when Mom announces that they're going for a walk—grumpy or not—Gloria's bad mood is about to come along for the ride.

Grumpy Grump by multi-award-winning children's book author Ruthie Godfrey is a funny, relatable picture book that gives children a wonderfully concrete way to understand something we all experience: sometimes we're in a bad mood... and sometimes we keep holding onto it.

Perfect for families, elementary classrooms, homeschool lessons, counselors, and libraries, this engaging SEL story opens natural conversations about grumpiness, big feelings, emotional regulation, attitude, coping skills, and recognizing that feelings can change.

A delightful read for every little Grumpy Grump—and the grown-ups who've had a grumpy day or two themselves.
