Some of my happiest and most stable years were spent with her as a child in a small rural community fifty miles north of Birmingham, Alabama called "The Colony." My brothers and I used to visit her during the summer months and several times through the school year. Life with my grandmother on the farm was routine and very simple. It was quite a contrast to the life we had in Ohio with our parents.The years with my grandparents and aunts were the happiest of my life.

My name is Sandra L. Fluker. I am a widow and the mother of four wonderful children. I have been a school teacher for over twenty years. I have taught for various school systems including the Detroit Public Schools, Cleveland Public Schools , Cleveland Heights/University Heights Schools. I have been a minister since 1978 and I so enjoy singing gospel and classical music and evangelizing in nursing homes and prisons. I presently reside in Brooklyn, OH. This book is specially dedicated to my beloved son Timothy E. Fluker who passed away June 30, 2019.
