Deconstructing the Demiurge: Tale of the Tribe is first and foremost an eschatological work, but not in the traditional
sense. The eschatological foundation of the poem is not religious. The poem is a survey of ‘Enlightenment’ western
science where the true end of the world is being determined. The author chronicles the positivist scientific forces behind an endtimes exemplified by Global Climate Change, Nuclear Weapons and Strong A.I. There will be no Second Coming,
no Rapture and the Final Battle will not confirm the biblical ravings of some primitive, datura addled prophet like John of Revelation. The endtimes will be the result of the short sighted, epistemologically chauvinist and arbitrary quantitative discretions of the sciences and their technological products, a project of limited and limiting mathematically based discretions which in the main was uncritically yet universally lionized beginning roughly five hundred years ago. Deconstructing the Demiurge: Tale of the Tribe serves as a critical inquiry into the root mathematical/ quantitative causes behind the rapidly approaching demise of the planet; a dialectical probing into those fundamental elements of the ‘scientific method’ that have brought us tothe brink of extinction. – Nicolas Peiresc
