Vicky Ann Meier obtained her nursing degree and, after spending many years in hospital nursing, she discovered a passion for older people leading her to the senior living field. Yet, while bringing her compassionate wisdom and insight over the last 25 years to senior living, Vicky dreamed of becoming a published children's book author to impart important life lessons. This dream came true in 2020 when she wrote Alexander Finds A Home at age 66, proving it's never too late to nurture a creative passion. Though this marks Vicky's first published work, she already has plans for more books continuing the heartwarming adventures of Alexander. Writing children's stories has become her passion to connect young readers with lessons about acceptance, friendship, responsibility, and acts of kindness. When crafting characters and plot lines, Vicky listens deeply to understand modern childhood. She finds inspiration in their laughter, play, and conversation that tap into human goodness. Vicky currently resides in her home state of Indiana with her loyal dog Mikey. She has three children and three grandchildren. With a grateful heart and a commitment to spreading joy, Vicky's writing reflects positivity and hope for the future.
