Inhaltsangabe

"George Gould’s first book, Under My Window, will literally have you galloping with his poetry. Rhythmic repetition and rhyme will have you riding alongside the filly named Regret in “Horse’s Tail.” Silly fun abounds in “Applesauce,” a hilarious add-on poem in which the whole family creates a unique artwork from spilled applesauce. But Gould can pull the heart strings, too, with his poignant poem “The Last Movie.” In “Santa Lives,” he encourages readers to find a bit of Santa in everyone and become Santa-like in generosity and good humor. Gould’s gifts beg to be read aloud amongst loved ones, young and old, over and over." —Pegi Deitz Shea, two-time winner of the Connecticut Book Award

"Gould’s work is engaging, sweet, and honest. From his effortless rhymes and made-up words in “The Mouse’s Tail” to the great, extravagant family chaos of “Applesauce,” he brings us smoothly along into a world of possibility and wonder. He puts a smile on my face. His work has appeal for humans of any age. (If animals could read, I think they would like his work as well.)" —Sharon Smith, past Vice-President of the Connecticut Poetry Society, poet, yoga teacher, author of Reflections
