Inhaltsangabe

Ronin Blue thought returning home would give his daughter a better future.

After years as a South Seas volunteer in Samoa, Ronin Blue brings his half-Samoan daughter, Mele, to the United States in search of opportunities impossible to find on their remote Pacific island home. Instead, he finds himself struggling to adapt to the very country he once called home. While Mele thrives in her new surroundings, Blue wrestles with disappointment, fractured relationships, and memories he cannot escape. Her extraordinary gift for the violin soon opens doors neither of them ever imagined. As her talent grows, so do the demands placed on them both.

From small-town America to the stages of New York City, father and daughter pursue a dream neither could have imagined. Yet success cannot silence the questions that continue to haunt Blue. The mysterious death of a childhood friend still casts a shadow over his life. The past refuses to stay buried.

Spanning the South Pacific, California, and New York City, The Barefoot Serenade: That Fa'a Samoa Way is a richly layered novel about family, grief, belonging, redemption, and the enduring bond between a father and daughter. It is a story of searching for peace, discovering one's voice, and learning that love often leads us home in unexpected ways.
