Inhaltsangabe

"Before you ever have a black belt tied around your waist, you have to have a black belt tied around your mind."
When a violent roadside confrontation forced a 23-year-old Rodney Boyd into a local karate dojo, he thought he was simply learning how to defend himself. He had no idea he was stepping onto a lifelong path of spiritual and physical transformation. Decades later, after overcoming a massive stroke, recovering his balance, and achieving his 2nd Degree Black Belt at an age when most people are slowing down, Boyd shares the ultimate secret of the martial arts: wrapping the belt around your waist is only the beginning. Now, you are ready to learn.
In this inspiring and deeply personal sequel to Never Run a Dead Kata, Boyd masterfully bridges the discipline of Wado Ryu karate with timeless biblical principles. Through humor, raw humility, and rich scriptural insights, he introduces the Black Belt Mindset—a framework for everyday life that replaces anxiety with peace, excuses with perseverance, and distraction with profound spiritual focus.
Inside, you will discover how to:

• Master the Code of Awareness: Move past the "tunnel vision" of daily distractions and walk with continuous mental and spiritual clarity.
• Harness the Power of Repetition: Rewrite your mental pathways using neuroplasticity to build automatic, godly responses to life's hidden attacks.
• Cultivate an Attitude of Gratitude: Overcome modern anxiety by unlocking the profound biblical connection between thanksgiving and true mental equilibrium.
• Walk in Victory: Overcome your personal "Goliaths"—whether they are physical setbacks, toxic doubts, or spiritual warfare.

Whether you are a seasoned martial artist looking to deepen your practice, or a follower of Christ seeking a fresh, disciplined approach to your spiritual walk, this book is your guide to building an indomitable spirit. Step onto the mat, empty your cup, and discover what it truly means to live with a peaceful mind.
