Sebastian Saviano is a writer and independent scholar whose work examines institutional trust, governance, accountability, and the ways systems shape human judgment.

He is the author of Legitimate Distrust: Why Conspiracy Theories Grow When Institutions Fail and The Allegiance Paradox. His current research focuses on AI governance and policy, including questions of agency, responsibility, and institutional reliance on artificial systems.

Saviano pursued doctoral studies at Georgetown University in political theory and the philosophy of social science, where he also lectured in the Science, Technology, and International Affairs (STIA) program.

I, System extends his broader inquiry into how political, institutional, and artificial systems shape the conditions under which humans make decisions, assign responsibility, and understand the world.
