Jeff was born in New Zealand, but only occasionally visits there. Having joined the merchant marine at the age of fifteen, he settled down at age twenty-two in Sydney, Australia, married, had two children, got divorced now has four grandchildren. He calculates that to date, more than twenty years of his life have been spent travelling. He has owned a Real Estate agency and after selling that he joined the Insurance industry where he became a member of the ‘Million Dollar Round Table’ and a blue, silver or gold ribbon winner for all eleven years spent in the industry. He was a motivational speaker at many conferences, and eventually formed and co-owned what became the biggest insurance brokerage of its type in Australia. Selling his share to his partners in 1993, he retired at the age of forty-four, bought a yacht and, after a lunch with friends at the Manly Hotel, sailed into the sunset with his long time partner.. After three years on the sea and land throughout the Americas, they returned, embraced their hobby and won many national and international titles including sixth in the World Championships. As a mature aged student, Jeff received a BA in Philosophy and English Creative Writing from Macquarie University in Sydney in 2005. His first book ‘From The Belly of the Cow’, uses an account of extensive travels through India to tell of lessons learned in a lifetime of business and travel. ‘The Future is Never Sold Out’ is his second book.
