The Adventures of Jeremy Worm is a 56 page illustrated rhyming verse story book for children. The book consists of six different storylines which depict the trials and tribulations of a very brave and daring worm. The everyday dangers and experiences encountered by the worm, show children how different situations can be resolved by keeping calm and working together. The story book commences with 'The Great Escape'. In this story Jeremy surfaces after a day of digging, only to be surprised by a hungry bird. Jeremy's quick thinking and repartee enable him to talk the bird out of eating him. This storyline; in a subtle way; shows children how conflict can be resolved in a non violent way by using means other than aggression. There are a further 5 stories which focus on the worms habitat and everyday dangers and exploits.
