I am Carmen Grace Shields. Reiki Practitioner, author and Entrepreneur. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communications. I love hot cappuccinos, traveling to new places, taking photos (just for fun), spending time in nature, skiing in the winter and spending time with my husband of 4 years and fur baby Maya dog. I began to experience deep grief and loss at the very young age of two-and-a half years old, with the loss of my brother who was stillborn. I had no idea at the time what it meant, or that it was even a traumatic loss, I just knew “Baby all gone.” As I got older, the way I navigated through grief is through writing poems. I started creating poems each time a family member would pass away. My true desire and hope for this book is to inspire others who might also have the desire to Create! on their own journey through the Grief Wilderness.
