Lori had her first and only run-in with the police at the age of five. Her mom was late picking her up from kindergarten, so Lori started walking—nearly two miles on busy city streets in Philly. She made it most of the way home before the police found her. That wasn’t nearly as scary for Lori as going door-to-door selling Girl Scout cookies a few years later. But Lori’s determination to succeed was stronger than her shyness. Born with a flair for writing, and a sixth-sense for marketing, Lori’s made her living as a writer since leaving Temple University armed with a Journalism degree. Within 18 months of starting her freelance business in 1997, Lori was a 6-figure freelancer doing work she loved for high-paying clients. As she met other freelancers, Lori noticed that many freelancers didn’t know much about marketing and weren’t really comfortable doing it. So she began teaching them how to get the clients they deserve, through presentations, webinars, her Freelance Success blog, books, and online courses. Now she’s on a quest to help as many freelancers as possible become Mighty Marketers. When not working, Lori is a compulsive traveler. Lori’s walked through the sand-swept streets of Timbuktu, the legendary ancient city of learning and gold, hiked in Katmandu, nestled in the Himalaya mountains, and dined with Bedouins in a tent in the Jordanian desert.
