A dramatic romantic comedy. Max Albright's life was comfortable and he was content. He is stunned to discover that his his darling wife, Sunny does not share his contentment when she announces that she is leaving, to find fulfillment and express her creativity. Max is convinced that Sunny is having a mid-life crisis and will come back soon. Instead, Sunny is having success in commercial and fine arts photography and photojournalism. Max reluctantly accepts that he must move on, make new friends, and perhaps find romance. His neighbors are interesting and quirky. Chip, once a legendary surfer, is having a run of bad luck. Willie is a dirty old man who knows all the neighborhood gossip. Internet dating is a fiasco. Max panics and runs for the door. Attending church did not work out. Max became the object of a parishioner's amorous intentions and her husband took offense. Tara, an exercise buddy and friend with romantic possibilities, is a pleasant diversion until she takes her cheating ex-husband back. Max bravely (or foolishly) protects a damsel in distress and suffers the consequences. Sunny's sister, Summer, a free spirit and sharp businesswoman, has propositions for Max; business and otherwise. Olive oil brings a beautiful, exotic, sexy, but flawed Roman goddess into his life. They share a torrid romantic interlude in Italy, but he comes home alone. On a photojournalism assignment in Alaska, a near fatal accident brings Sunny back home. She says she wants Max back, but what does she really want? Is Sunny back to stay, or will Max return to his Roman goddess?
