Similarly, the church today drifts in a wilderness of continuous sin and repentance.Although a life of continuous repentance may seem godly, it's indeed slavery to sin. (Romans 6:1-14). Why keep on repenting? When we can instead learn to be obedient, for when we’re obedient there’s no need for repentance, and repentance is never a substitute for obedience. Therefore, learning obedience should be the primary focus of every Christian… not repentance. Following His example, we must become “Obedient unto death…” (Philippians 2:8).In closing, obedience is not an option, but an absolute essential to Christlikeness.
