The adorable story of a brother and sister turtle who live in the waters off the coast of the island of Aruba in the Caribbean. In this story, the turtles named Tutu and Tula, meet a human friend. A little girl named Alexis from America. After meeting her they swim on to find other friends, only to discover a relative of theirs trapped in pollution of plastics and fishing line. The relative is trapped. He cannot swim and risks drowning. Tutu and Tula take steps to save him. Alexis' father is dismayed with all the items polluting the beach and bed of the water. He sets about a cleanup. This story explains to children the impact of discarding plastic items like cups and bottles into the ocean, along with other garbage. A gentle story with a moral for the children.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

John Gray was Professor of Hebrew and Semitic Languages at Aberdeen University in Scotland from 1962 to 1980. He published books on Middle Eastern archaeology and culture, as well as commentaries on several Books of the Bible. At his death in 2000, he left a manuscript of a commentary on the Book of Job which was published posthumously in 2010. He also left a manuscript of his poem, Job in a Cheviot Plaid.
