Biografía del autor:

Théophile de Viau, né entre mars et mai 1590 à Clairac, en Agenais et mort le 25 septembre 1626 à Paris, est un poète et dramaturge français. Poète le plus lu au XVIIe siècle, il est oublié jusqu’à ce que Théophile Gautier le redécouvre. Théophile de Viau est considéré comme un auteur baroque. Bien que protégépar le roi Louis XIII, il a été exilé et emprisonné : on lui reprochait des pratiques homosexuelles.
