Michael Freitag is a Full Professor at the Faculty of Production Engineering, University of Bremen, Germany. He is also the Director of the Bremen Institute for Production and Logistics GmbH (BIBA). His research interests include planning and control of production and logistics processes, digitalization, Industry 4.0, and the automation of material flows via robots and flexible transportation systems.
Herbert Kotzab is a Full Professor at the Faculty of Business Studies and Economics, University of Bremen, Germany and an International Professor at the Othman Yeop Abdullah Graduate School of Business, Universiti Utara Malaysia. His research focuses on supply chain management, service operations and consumer driven value networks.<p>This open access book highlights the interdisciplinary aspects of logistics research.
