Lung cancer is the second most diagnosed cancer and remains the leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the United States. Janelle Baptiste, M.D., MPH is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Critical Care Medicine and is an Instructor of Medicine in the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.  She is a past recipient of the American Thoracic Society Minority Trainee Development Scholarship Award for her now published work on outcomes of the first three years of a lung cancer screening program. Dr. Baptiste is a pulmonary lead on lung nodule surveillance and has research interests in implementation and outcomes of lung cancer screening programs. In 1999, Dr Baptiste emigrated from Dominica to the United States and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Massachusetts, Boston, and M.D., and MPH degrees from Tufts University.  Dr Baptiste completed her clinical training in Internal Medicine at Boston University Medical Center, and Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Brown University.
