Angelo Candalepas, heute einer der führenden Architekten Australiens, schaffte seinen Durchbruch 1994 bei einem internationalen Architekturwettbewerb mit einem Projekt für das Pyrmont-Viertel in Sydney. Seither haben die Bauten des Architekturbüros Candalepas Associates zahlreiche Auszeichnungen gewonnen und wurden international in Magazinen und Fachzeitschriften publiziert. Diese erste Monografie, verfasst in englischer Sprache, umfasst eine Auswahl von Candalepas’ Schlüsselwerken, illustriert durch Fotografien, Pläne, Ansichten sowie Handzeichnungen und Skizzen. Realisierte Projekte werden neben Entwürfen präsentiert, und Gebäude, die erst noch umgesetzt werden, werfen einen Blick in die Zukunft des Büros. Essays von Alberto Campo Baeza und Laura Harding ergänzen, zusammen mit einem Text von Candalepas selbst, diesen umfassenden und reich bebilderten Überblick.

Über die Autorinnen und Autoren
Angelo Candalepas, geboren 1967, führt seit 1994 sein eigenes Büro in Sydney. Seit 2003 unterrichtet er zudem als Gastprofessor für Architektur an der University of New South Wales.
Angelo Candalepas trained at University of Technology Sydney and worked with Colin Madigan at Edwards Madigan Torzillo and with Graham Jahn before establishing his own firm, Candalepas Associates, in 1994. He is also visiting professor of architecture at the University of New South Wales.
