Peter Pünteners Buch Spillover versucht, diese weitreichenden Krisen zu fassen.
Kernstück bildet die einzigartige Porträtserie mit rund 90 Entscheidungsträger:innen, die in die Bewältigung dieser Krisen involviert waren. Diesen Menschen zur Seite gestellt sind Ansichten von Räumen und Gebäuden schweizerischer und europäischer Institutionen, in denen krisenrelevante Entscheidungen getroffen wurden. Eindrücklich sichtbar werden zudem auf den Fotografien von Landschaften die Auswirkungen des Platzens der gewaltigen Immobilienblase in einzelnen Ländern der Eurozone. Diesen Aufnahmen werden Bilder des Baubooms in der Schweiz gegenübergestellt.
Mit einem Essay des Wirtschaftshistorikers Tobias Straumann, Zitaten aus Interviews mit den porträtierten Personen und einer Chronologie der Ereignisse legt der Band Zeugnis ab über die grössten Herausforderungen des Finanzplatzes Schweiz der letzten 20 Jahre und regt zum Nachdenken über dessen zukünftige Ausgestaltung an.

Über die Autorinnen und Autoren
Peter Püntener is a Zurich-based freelance photographer. Holding a degree in economic history, he worked at the Swiss National Bank for 27 years before turning to photography.
Peter Püntener studierte Wirtschaftsgeschichte, war während 27 Jahren bei der Schweizerischen Nationalbank tätig und arbeitet heute als freischaffender Fotograf.
Tobias Straumann lehrt als Professor für Geschichte der Neuzeit und Wirtschaftsgeschichte an der Universitat Zürich.
