The work describes application-specific security aspects of NFC based on exemplary use-case scenarios and uses these to focus on the interaction with NFC tags and on card emulation. The current security architectures of NFC-enabled cellular phones are evaluated with regard to the identified security aspects.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Josef Langer ist Professor am Studiengang Hardware-Software-Design an der Fachhochschule in Hagenberg und Gründer des NFC Research Lab Hagenberg. Gemeinsam mit NXP, mobilkom austria und weiteren Partnern hat er mehrere NFC Forschungsprojekte durchgeführt. Er studierte Elektrotechnik an der TU Wien und der RWTH Aachen und promovierte an der Johannes Kepler Universität in Informatik. 2001 gründete er die CDE Communications Data Engineering GmbH.   Michael Roland ist wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am NFC Research Lab Hagenberg. Sein Forschungsschwerpunkt liegt in den Bereichen RFID und NFC, mit Fokus auf mobile Hardware, Anwendungen und Sicherheit. Er absolvierte die Studien Hardware/Software Systems Engineering (B.Sc.) und Embedded Systems Design (M.Sc.) an der Fachhochschule in Hagenberg mit Auszeichnung. 2009 begann er das Doktoratsstudium in Informatik an der Johannes Kepler Universität Linz.
