The lithology of Khaira Murat Range, Attock Pakistan is studied using Landsat ETM+ and ASTER Satellite images. The shortwave infrared and thermal infrared bands of Landsat and ASTER successfully mapped industrial minerals like calcite, quartz, muscovite and montmorillonite.

Khunsa Fatima, M.Sc in Space Science from University of the Punjab Lahore, and MS Remote Sensing & Geographical Information System from National University of Sciences & Technology Islamabad. She won gold medals in both MS and M.Sc. Currently, she is working as lecturer at National University of Sciences and Technology, Islamabad, Pakistan.
