This book is about naturalistic landscapes in urban parks. The idea of naturalistic landscapes is to preserve biodiversity on which life depends. On the other hand, urban parks are designed to be used by people. However, there are some evidence that people do not feel safe in naturalistic landscapes. People's concerns regarding naturalistic landscapes in urban parks and the effect of visual characteristics in perceived safety are addressed in the book. Some guidelines are to be found for the design of naturalistic parks so as people perceive them safe.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Sara Farbod was born in 1978 in Iran. She graduated from Iran University of Science and Technology, Tehran, in field of Architecture in 2003. In 2013, she successfully passed her PhD in Landscape Studies at Universiti Putra Malaysia. She has worked as an academician in Islamic Azad University (Neyshabour branch) since 2003.
