The ubiquity of metal ions in biology has led to widespread interest in metallobiochemistry among biologists, chemists and biochemists. This book serves primarily as a textbook for courses in bio-inorganic chemistry, and as a supplement for courses in general inorganic, co-ordination, or solution chemistry. It does not cover all the details of inorganic biochemistry, being intended as a concise and solid introduction.
