The second English edition has been revised to reflect the enormous developments in eye surgery during the last decade. All chapters have been rewritten, and there are new insights on corneal suturing, trephination and iris reconstruction. Several new chapters have been added covering space tactical problems and solutions, the basics of hydraulic systems and viscosurgical principles. Extracapsular cataract surgery and pharcoemulsification as well as anterior vitreous surgery are dealt with extensively and are presented in a novel way.
