The purpose of this volume is to present recent developments in the use of fuzzy sets in broadly perceived interactive optimization and mathematical programming. After some introductory sections some human related issues are covered. Then, basic issues related to fuzzy optimization are dealt withwith an emphasis on elements of human interaction. Finally, software packages are described and applications are presented. The volume provides much information on how to use fuzzy sets to formalize human related elements in interactive optimization.
