Professor Schiffer is President of the Italian Association of Neurooncology and of the Italian Association of Neuropathology.

At the same time, pathology is presented as basis for diagnosis, prognosis and treatment of brain tumors. The reference list is particularly rich. Some neuro-oncological or neuropathological problems are discussed more extensively, because of their clinical or scientific importance.
