The book is about two different women. Amber. She is in her late 20s/early 30s, has been abused in various ways, and is addicted to drugs. She lost her family in a car accident and was brought from Germany to America. Amber takes refuge in drugs and tries to escape reality. After Tom, a street worker and chairman of a drug counseling initiative, brought her to America to Evelyn and the situation with her escalated, Amber got involved with Silver and sank deeper and deeper into trouble. Lady is the owner of the café “Ladys” and has found not only great support but also a close confidante in her employee Bethany. Lady lost her son Charlie to drugs a while ago and bans anyone who deals drugs from her café. She has been through a lot and has learned to live with grief and pain. These different women meet. Amber experiences a rollercoaster of emotions with Lady as she fights and heals her fears, trauma, and drug addiction. A journey of healing. This book is intended to remind everyone that we have the strength within us to work through our tragic experiences and gain new strength and energy from them, to remember the strength we have within us and to draw on that strength to help others.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor
My name is Julia Rimkus, and I was born on September 5, 1989, in Auetal, Germany. I grew up in Lower Saxony and moved to downtown Hanover, Germany, in 2016. Began my first training as a chef in 2007 at the age of 17 but didnt finished. Began training as a geriatric nurse in 2009. I remained at the nursing home until July 2011 and then dropped out. From 2011 to 2012, I completed as a nursing assistant. I got into geriatric care and senior care until February 2014. Became an integration support worker in 2018 to 2019. From August to November 2020, I completed further training as a care worker. What sets me apart from other authors is that I paint my book covers in acrylic. There are more books to come. Promise.
