It is divided into three parts.The first part discusses the current state of BPM indetail. It introduces concepts, technologies andtools to facilitate the BPM by supporting the wholebusiness process life cycle. For each phase of theprocess life cycle, emerging standards are presentedwhich help manage quick changing business processes.The second part argues that learning processes aresimilar to business processes and therefore can betreated like them. In addition, we evaluate aLearning Process Management System to show theusefulness of this idea and also identify missingtools that could improve its management. The lastpart presents the complete software developmentprocess of such a missing tool.
