The alarming impact of the change in developing countries like Ethiopia makes the issue more ear-catching. Despite the fact that media have an important role to combat climate change, there are very few studies focus on media and climate change.Accordingly, this work attempted to explore climate change reporting in Ethiopian broadcast media,ERTA. The main benefit of this research is to journalists, ERTA and audiences of ERTA's climate change stories. The findings of the study show that most climate change stories of ERTA lack clarity and proximity. Too often, journalists do not talk about efforts that are being exerted locally to adapt and mitigate climate change. The station does not give priority to climate change stories. Majority of journalists use officials and experts as main sources instead of people at the grass roots level. Furthermore, nearly all producers and editors of climate change and related environment programs have not got formal trainings on the subject matter. 80 pp. Englisch.
