Lifestyle interventions, have been demonstrated to be the least effective. Intensive behavioral interventions combined with dietary modifications and improved physical activity can lead to > 5% weight loss in obese adults.Pharmacological treatment (Orlistat, Liraglutide, Phentermine/Topiramate, Naltrexon/Buproprion, & Locaserin,) have very restricted efficacy, particularly in individuals with morbid obesity. Bariatric surgery such as sleeve gastrectomy SG and Roux-en-Y gastric bypass; is the most effective but most invasive therapy for morbid obesity.
