Malaria disease have a great impact in social health, and for this reason the interactions between the malarial parasite and the mosquito vector can be ellucidated by different methods including transcriptomics. RNA-seq is a new approach that by a comparison of the transcriptome of a organism in different conditions, can provide a catalogue of differentially expressed genes constituting a crucial information for selection of potential targets for malaria candidate vaccines. Confirmed by qPCR and assembled with knockdown-silencing assays, the eventual relevant role of these genes in the infection can be understood leading to explore new targets to develop transmission blocking vaccines.
