It has become a powerful tool in algebraic geometry and complex analytic geometry. The modern development of multiplicative ideal theory is based on the works of W. Krull and H. Prüfer.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Shafiq ur Rehman received his Ph.D in 2012 from Abdus Salam School of Mathematical Sciences, G.C. University Lahore. He is Assistant Professor of Mathematics at COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Attock, Pakistan, since 2013. His research interests concern commutative algebra, field theory and algebraic number theory.
