AI systems do not understand us. They simulate understanding - and we rarely notice the difference. Prompted Minds explores how artificial intelligence is quietly reshaping human cognition: how we think, remember, decide, and know. Through the lens of neuroscience, cognitive psychology, and AI research, Roger Basler de Roca examines what happens when we increasingly delegate thinking to systems that operate through statistical pattern matching rather than genuine comprehension. The result is a clear-eyed guide to the most consequential cognitive shift in human history - and a practical framework for navigating it with intention, critical distance, and intellectual sovereignty.

Roger Basler de Roca is a digital entrepreneur, keynote speaker, author, and consultant specialising in artificial intelligence, platform economies, and digital transformation. He holds a degree in Business Administration and an MSc in Digital Business, and is currently pursuing a PhD in AI. Having lived and worked across China, Spain, Canada, and the United States, he brings an international perspective to one of the defining questions of our era: what does it mean to think in an age of intelligent machines? He advises more than 60 companies annually, lectures at leading Swiss universities including HWZ, ZHAW, and the University of Basel, and delivers over 100 keynotes each year across the German-speaking world and beyond. His work sits at the intersection of technology, cognition, and human agency.
