Die Fakultät für Kunst und Design der West-Universität Timi?oara hat sich in den letzten zehn Jahren zu einem der wichtigsten kulturellen Impulsgeber in Rumänien entwickelt. Die lebendige Kunstszene im Umfeld des Campus trug zur Etablierung der Stadt als künstlerischer Hotspot bei und war maßgeblich an der Ernennung Timi?oaras zur Kulturhauptstadt Europas 2023 beteiligt. Im Jahr 2025 feiert die Fakultät ihr 35-jähriges Bestehen.
