Kernthema der Arbeiten von Claudia Rogge (*1968 in Düsseldorf) ist das Verhältnis von Massengesellschaft und Individualismus, zweier sich scheinbar paradox gegenüberstehender Phänomene. Die Opposition von Masse und Individuum wird durch die Künstlerin ad absurdum geführt, indem sie selbst den Individualisten als Vertreter von Rollenkonzepten erkennt und darstellt. Internationale Aufmerksamkeit erfuhr sie bereits mit den Projekten mob il 1 und mob il 2 . Mit einem eigens für ihre Installationen gebauten gläsernen Lkw reiste sie durch Europa. Eine der im Lastwagen »beherbergten« Installationen bestand aus einem 5000-fach vervielfältigten Abguss eines Babykopfes. In ihren Fotoarbeiten entwickelt sie ihre Thematik fort und konzipiert eine einzigartige Methodik. Sie choreografiert Bilder, die wie ein »single shot« erscheinen, ihre komponierten Massen resultieren jedoch aus einer Vielzahl von individuellen Einzelbildern.

The theme at the heart of Claudia Rogge's (*1968 in D?sseldorf) work is the relationship between mass society and the individual-two apparently opposing, paradoxical phenomena. The artist carries on ad absurdum with the opposition between the masses and the individual, through her acknowledgement and depiction of the individual as the representative of conceptual roles. She drew international attention with her projects mob il 1 and mob il 2, traveling through Europe in a glass truck built especially for her installations. One of the installations "accommodated" inside the truck consisted of five thousand copies of a cast of a baby's head. Rogge continues to develop her theme in her photographic works, using a uniquely conceived method. She choreographs her pictures, so that they look like a "single shot," but these mass compositions are the result of a multitude of individual images.
