1995 gestaltete die Carl-Orff-Stiftung eine Wanderausstellung zum 100. Geburtstag von Carl Orff. Mit Unterstützung von Siemens Nixdorf wurde ein begleitendes Computer-Programm entwickelt, das den Besucher durch Leben und Werk des Komponisten führt. Video Edition Berlin entwickelte hieraus eine CD-ROM-Version, die unter anderem um ein Inhaltsverzeichnis erweitert wurde. Diese CD-ROM gewährt Zugriff auf über 400 Abbildungen von Bühnenbildern, Noten, Handschriften, Zeitungsrezensionen, Orff-Instrumenten und Fotografien des Komponisten aus verschiedenen Lebensperioden. Gemeinsam mit 60 Minuten Musikbeispielen aus dem Gesamtwerk und 20 Minuten Videoeinspielungen sind diese Abbildungen interaktiv zugänglich. Wahlweise ist eine deutsche oder englische Version abrufbar.
