Hans-Michael Koetzle es un escritor y periodista freelance establecido en Munich, que se centra principalmente en la historia y la estética de la fotografía. Ha publicado numerosos libros sobre fotografía, entre otros Die Zeitschrift twen (1995), Photo Icons (2001), Das Lexikon der Fotografen (2002), René Burri (2004), Fotógrafos de la A a la Z (2011) y Dr. Paul Wolff & Tritschler (2019).
