In recent years Finland has been very successful in the PISA studies. As a result of this people around the world have showed a particular interest in the Finnish educational system. This book shows a Finnish teacher, Pirjo Pyykkö's journey to professionalism by means of reflection. She had fantastic inspiring teachers through her school years so her dream was to become such a good teacher, too. This book is autobiographical. Pyykkö describes her growth to professionalism through her teaching practises. She emphasizes the meaning of emotional education and the power of creativity which are keys towards the pedagogy of joy.
