Beatriz Albuquerque was born in Portugal and has recently won the Myers Art Prize: Mix and New Media, New York. She has a BA/BFA in Design Communication from Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade do Porto; Master of Fine Arts at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and is currently taking an Ed. D. in Art at Columbia University, New York.
