According to National Nutrition Monitoring Bureau (1996) Indicates only about 10% of Pre-school children with normal weights. Similarly the adult nutrition status have normal nutritional status while the rest suffered from different degrees of chronic energy deficiency. In this context, it is not possible for the rural development without a reference to the people's participation. This state of Andhra pradesh has introduced Velugu programme to eliminate poverty and improve the standard of the living of the people. The vision 2020 for Swarnandhrapradesh the Velugu project aims at meeting the needs of the extreme poor.
