The text examines the current developments in the automobile industry brought about by the nascent sector of electric cars. It looks into a combination of factors that made the advent of electric cars possible now and focuses on the global struggle for natural resources. Jan Lepetun worked for a number of publications, reporting from Eastern and Western Europe, Africa and Central Asia. He finished Erasmus Mundus course in business and finance journalism at City University London, Aarhus University and University of Amsterdam. His scope of interest includes global political economy and development issues.
