Wastes are present in the industries in the form of layers at macro level and at micro level. The Elimination of all wastes cannot be achieved overnight. It requires years of continuous improvement efforts for elimination of the wastes present in the system. The identification of vital wastes which have more impact on the performance of the organization and the selection of the detailed mapping tools for the identification of waste at micro level is a complex decision making problem. Biografía del autor
Ritesh Kr. Singh is Asso. Prof. in BIT Mesra, India. His PhD is concerned with waste minimization in manufacturing industries. He did post doctoral research at INRIA Nancy, France. His research interests include SCM, DSS, continues improvement philosophies etc. He has authored nearly 40 research papers in peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
