It mainly discusses the phonological processes of the language – how vowels and consonants interact within the course of speech production. Inor has peculiar phonological processes than other Ethio-Semitic languages. Labialization, Nasalization, Palatalization, and Vowel changes are the common features of the language.

Wendimu Habte has studied his BA Degree, English Language and Literature, in Jimma University; MA in Linguistics from Addis Ababa University- specializes on Gurage Language, Analysis of Inor Phonology. Recently, he is teaching Linguistics in Wolaita Sodo University, Department of English Language & Literature since 2008, and involved in researches.
Studied African Linguistics and Sociology for his MA at Leipzig University and his PhD in African Philology from Mainz University. Currently, he is an Associate Professor at Addis Ababa University, Department of Linguistics; Extensive research on Ethiopian Language with focus on Gurage.
