The present reader strives to settle these observable deficits and presents 13 contributions to migration and integration research from different disciplinary backgrounds. The constributions include the presentation of fundamental disciplinary approaches, questions and perspectives as well as concrete research questions in order to characterise the respective empirical or conceptual approaches. The reader serves as a source of information and introduction into the topic. Über die Autorinnen und Autoren

Prof. Dr. Heinz Fassmann ist er Bundesminister für Bildung, Wissenschaft und Forschung der Republik Österreich.

Dr. Julia Dahlvik ist Soziologin mit Fokus auf Migration und Asyl, Organisations-, Rechts- und Verwaltungssoziologie. Derzeit ist sie an der FH Campus Wien im Studiengang Public Management tätig.

Prof. em. Dr. Richard Potz lehrte am Institut für Rechtsphilosophie an der Universität Wien.

Prof. em. Dr. Hildegard Weiss lehrte am Institut für Soziologie an der Universität Wien.
