Biography: Franz Josef Wetz, born in 1958, studied philosophy, German studies, and theology, graduated in 1989 and received his postdoctorate in 1992 from the University of Gießen. He has held various professorships since 1992, a guest professorship in Warsaw, and has been a professor of philosophy at the University of Education Schwäbisch Gmünd since 1994. Dr. Wetz is the author of numerous publications.

Angelina Whalley, born in 1960, studied medicine at the Free University of Berlin and graduated from the University of Heidelberg. There, she met Gunther von Hagens, and they got married in 1992. The approbated doctor is the President & CEO of the Institute for Plastination and the conceptual designer of the BODY WORLDS exhibitions, which debuted in Japan in 1995. Since then, more than 26 million people in cities of Asia, Europe, and North America have seen the exhibitions.
