Ugo Rondinone (geb. 1964 in Brunnen, Schweiz, lebt und arbeitet in New York) ist einer der erfolgreichsten Künstler seiner Generation. Das Schaffen des Konzept- und Installationskünstlers ist seit dreißig Jahren von Themen wie Zeit und Vergänglichkeit, Tag und Nacht, Realität und Fiktion, Natur und Kultur geprägt. Der Ausgangspunkt seines Œuvres, das die Medien Malerei, Skulptur, Film und Installation umfasst, ist die Transformation der Außenwelt in eine subjektive, emotionale Innenwelt. Dabei bedient er sich eines facettenreichen Systems an Bezügen und Querverweisen von der deutschen Romantik über die amerikanische Land Art bis zur internationalen Popkultur. Zwischen Alltäglichem und Spiritualität lässt er suggestive Stimmungen entstehen, die das Lebensgefühl unserer Zeit widerspiegeln. Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor
Ugo Rondinone is a Swiss-born artist widely recognized for his mastery of several different media— most prominently sculpture, drawing and painting, but also photography, architecture, video and sound. As an art director, writer and strategist, Marlo works with a carefully curated selection of international designers, institutes and publications. Since 2019, Nina Schedlmayer has been editor-in-chief of the Lower Austrian cultural magazine morgen. Sadie Coles HQ is a London-based contemporary art gallery representing around fifty international artists. Erik Verhagen, an independent curator and an art critic, is Associate Professor of Contemporary Art History at Université de Valenciennes. kamel mennour is a contemporary art gallery with exhibition locations in Paris representing over forty artists. James Francis Cahill was an art historian, curator, collector, and professor at the University of California, Berkeley. Art gallery in Vienna, Austria.
