According to currently available information decortication of chironji nut are still carried out manually in India, especially in Chhattisgarh, which increase cost and processing time for kernel extraction. Keeping this in mind the research was undertaken at Indira Gandhi Agricultural University, Raipur - 402012. This book entitled " Chironji Nut Decorticator: Optimization and Processing Techniques" is providing new way of processing chironji nut. The book is divided into six chapter viz., Introduction, Review of literature, Material and methods, Result and discussion, Summary and conclusion and References. P.K. Nishad, is a Senior Research Fellow at ICAR-CIAE, Bhopal. He obtained M. Tech (Agril. Engg) with specialization of Agricultural Processing and Food Engineering from IGKV, Raipur (C.G.) in 2016 and B. Tech (Agril. Engg) from IGKV, Raipur, in 2014 . He has also qualified ICAR-NET examination in 2017.
