This book is written based on an MSc. research work that incorporated Polyethylene Terephthalate (plastic bottle) fibres and fly ash, in concrete to study if the ductility, tensile strength and flexural strength of concrete can be improved without affecting its workability and compressive strength. Beyond the structural performance, it also assessed the cost and environmental advantages of using these waste materials in concrete production.
